	Comp Lit Parent Letter Reading Log Say Something Starters!! Shared Strategies at Hudson's Bay




	Comprehensive Literacy Comprehensive Literacy is a 2 period block class that focuses intensive instruction on 9^th and 10^th graders reading between 1^st and 6^th grade levels. It uses a Scholastic program called Read 180 which is research-based and proven effective to capture the interest of high school students. The READ 180 Instructional Model provides a simple way to organize instruction and classroom activity. The session begins and ends with whole-group teacher-directed instruction. During the 60 minutes between the whole-group meetings, students break into three small groups that rotate among three stations.
