Patron Tours offer inside look at your schools

Have you been in a Vancouver school lately? If you're a parent, probably. If you're a community member without kids in school, possibly. But we bet you haven't seen all 35.

The best way to know Vancouver schools is to see them in action. Superintendent Steven Webb invites you to come along and join him on a Patron Tour. Typically two different schools are featured. Tours are scheduled several times a year.

The tours start at 8:30 a.m. at the Center for Educational Leadership, 2921 Falk Road. By noon, visitors are invited to end their tour with a gourmet lunch prepared by culinary students. The tours are free and the lunch is only $4.

There are six Patron Tours scheduled for the 2009-10 school year. If you would like to see some of our schools, meet the superintendent, and enjoy a great meal, please register on-line or call 313-4720.

Dec. 11, 2009 - Truman Elementary School and Ben Franklin Elementary School
