Vancouver Public Schools Athletics and Activities programs
Vancouver School District is a member of Washington Interscholastic Activities Association (WIAA), the Greater St. Helen’s League, and the Southwest Washington District IV.
High school students are encouraged to participate in sports or other extra-curricular activities including band, choir, dance, and cheer squads. Students are limited to one sport or cheer and one activity per season. Band, dance, drill, choir and cheer are available to high school boys and girls.
Middle school students also have the opportunity to participate in sports. The district’s “no-cut” policy gives everyone a chance to be competitive.
In the district’s elementary schools, 4th- and 5th-grade students begin their school athletic experience with the option to participate in after-school volleyball or basketball “skillerees” during the winter, and track in the spring.
