“I wanted to thank you for the invitation to attend your strategic planning focus group. I found the experience to be fascinating and exhilarating. Interestingly, later that evening I taught an undergraduate speech class at our Vancouver campus. Since so many of these students live there, I asked who resided inside the boundaries of the VPS, and easily half the class raised their hands. Before I could tell them of the great experience I had had earlier in the day, a chorus of compliments erupted about the district, its goals, and student outcomes.
