Thank you for helping make the weLearn Technology Showcase a huge success.

The Oct. 27 weLearn Technology Showcase was an overwhelming success! Thank you to the teachers, students, staff, and parents who made this event possible. The showcase featured more than 50 interactive and user-friendly exhibits featuring technology being used in classrooms throughout the district.

Students were the stars of the event as they demonstrated and explained their exhibits and projects. Lego robotics, Google Earth navigation, recording arts, and full-fledge television broadcast productions were only a few of the examples featured. Students turned over their iPads and Mobi Tablets to eager parents wanting to try the interactive technology for themselves.

Twenty-five schools and nine vendors were represented at the showcase. District departments also were on hand for parents interested in online Family Access, literacy and math curriculum, special services and special programs. Approximately 460 people attended the event. If you missed it, don’t worry. You’ll have another opportunity to attend next year!

We'll be back!

The technology showcase was held Oct. 27 at Skyview High School.

Watch for this great event again next year.

“Technology is integral to our work, our lives, and education. Students must develop skills, learn to think critically, and discover new ways to seek answers. In their careers, they will need to find solutions and adapt to tools that have yet to be developed. We need to prepare them now for their future.”
