Jason Lee Middle School offers a wide-range of learning options for our students. The Challenge/Honors program is a comprehensive academic program for highly capable students.
In addition to our core curricular classes, we have a wide range of electives. Choir, band, orchestra, art, and theatre provide avenues for students to explore their creative side. Every year our marching band participates in the Hazel Dell Parade. The band has also marched at the Junior Rose Festival. Students also may pursue their diverse interests in classes including global languages, journalism, and video technology.
Many other programs support the academic environment for our students. The Gateway to Technology program teaches students how technology is used in real-world settings. The AVID program, Advancement Via Individual Determination, is an elective class offering rigorous curriculum to promote student success. Math Engineering Science Achievement (MESA) offers after-school enrichment activities in science and engineering. Jason Lee also supports two after-school science teams who have competed and placed in numerous local and regional competitions.
We have many partners and volunteers that help make our students’ experience at Jason Lee a success. We welcome you to join us!
