At Gaiser Middle School we believe attitude means everything and education is the key to success. Our students have many choices for learning, leadership, and other enriching activities. Core academics, Honors classes, and Integrated Algebra provide avenues for students to get the most out of their school day. Band, choir, orchestra, athletics, and a range of classes in the arts encourage students to develop their talents.

Gaiser is the first middle school in VPS to feature Positive Behavior Initiatives and Supports (PBIS). This researched-based program, created at the University of Oregon, has improved student attendance and reduced disciplinary referrals. One major component of PBIS is Project Legacy. This student-led program provides student acknowledgments and interventions in support of the school's four Bear Expectations: Respect, Responsibility, Safety, and Positive Attitude.

Gaiser also is the home of the district's Dual Language Program. Students in this program have the opportunity to master two languages and acquire proficiency in academic subject areas in both Spanish and English.

The Gateway to Technology program teaches students how technology is used in real-world situations. The activity-oriented course focuses on five classroom units: design and modeling, automation and robotics, the science of technology, the magic of electrons, and flight and space. Advancement Via Individual Determination is an elective class offering rigorous curriculum to promote student success. Gaiser is one of the few Vancouver schools with a National Junior Honor Society.

Gaiser has a strong core of volunteers who help with school socials, classroom support, the 8th-grade party, and fundraising events. Parents can join the Gaiser Parent Advisory Committee.

Mission Statement: The mission of Gaiser Middle School is to provide a safe and caring community where students learn academic and behavioral skills needed to be contributing citizens in a culturally diverse and technological world.
