Vancouver iTech Preparatory, opening September 5, is the newest school of choice in Vancouver Public Schools. The school features a STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) focus, however, projects will integrate those subjects with art and design principles.
iTech Preparatory is not a typical white lab coat science program. Students best suited to this school are naturally curious, hard working, and passionate. Curriculum blends all curricular areas into project- and problem-based learning. At this school, curiosity, critical and creative thinking are as highly valued as the end product. Ideal candidates are students who like to work in a challenging, collaborative, and technology-rich learning environment. High school students have the opportunity to earn college credit.
The student selection process for Vancouver iTech Preparatory is by lottery based on zipcode to mirror the demographics of the school district.
If you like to build, design, and solve problems, and if you want to work on projects that relate to current issues and our global society, then Vancouver iTech Preparatory is the right school for you.
