Vancouver Flex Academy at Lewis and Clark High School
A flex magnet high school
Vancouver Flex Academy at Lewis and Clark High School blazes a trail for motivated, hardworking students who will excel in a nontraditional school setting. This school of choice features learning on one-to-one laptop computers with the support and guidance of caring teachers.
Does your student like to work independently at his/her own pace? Would your student prefer a small school setting? Many students work better when they can set their own schedule for learning—choosing which subjects to tackle in the morning and which to complete in the afternoon. This blended learning school of choice makes it possible. The school's blended learning model was featured in District Administration magazine in January 2014.
Each student is assigned a laptop and completes coursework on a flexible day-to-day schedule. Students work independently, but receive full guidance from highly qualified, dedicated educators. Students meet with teachers individually and in small groups for instruction, enrichment, and extra help. AVID and AP courses offer a pathway to college.
This magnet program isn’t for everyone. But if your student is responsible and dedicated to charting his/her own path for success, then Vancouver Flex Academy at Lewis and Clark High School may be a perfect fit.
