Be a lunch buddy
45 minutes, once a week, change a life!

The Lunch Buddy Program pairs a caring adult with an elementary student who needs a positive role model in his/her life. The program, started by the Greater Clark County Rotary in 1993, and expanded the following year by Vancouver Rotary is simple: adult volunteers commit to having lunch with a student once a week. After lunch there is time to read a book, play a board game, or just talk. The one-on-one friendship that develops between lunch buddies often makes a profound difference in a child’s life.

The program has expanded to 19 schools in Vancouver School District and volunteers are always needed. For more information, please contact the Foundation for Vancouver Public Schools, 313-4725, or email LunchBuddy@vansd.org .
