Governor Jay Inslee has released his proposed supplemental budget for 2014-15. The second year of the biennium increases the Vancouver Public Schools’ budget by nearly $4 million, most of which is dedicated to increase instructional time as legislated last year. A consensus budget from the state is expected in March and at that time the district will be able to plan its 2014-15 budget. It is hoped a budget recommendation can be presented to the Board in May.
