Priorities and themes emerge from strategic planning survey

Vancouver Public Schools received 1,140 responses to a strategic planning survey that will help set the future direction of the district. The survey was one of four ways in which staff and community members have been engaged in the strategic planning process. Input also was collected through a symposium, listserv communication, and focus groups.

The survey was conducted online in March and April. Printed copies were placed in schools and library branches, and translated versions were available in Spanish and Russian. The survey contained 15 selected-response questions and four open-ended questions.
