Digital Art Course Introduction



Course Introduction
This introductory course deals with controlling computer technology to produce an artistic image. Students will learn computer illustration techniques, image manipulation, animation, web design, digital camera use, and graphic design visual literacy. As students are introduced to the various fields in the digital arts, they will learn and apply the fundamentals of design with software applications (Adobe Creative Suite 6), as well as study the language of art and the principals of design. Throughout the course we will examine both contemporary and historical Graphic Artists and their impacts on society and the art world. Projects coordinate technical skills with organization, management, communication, ethics and teamwork.
